Santom GRATINGS
Manufactured using resins and fibreglass rowings, the Santom gratings are customer designed. To suit the chemical environment, Isophthalic, Bisphenol, Polyester or Vinylester resin is used. Based on requirement, Fire retardant property can also be incorporated.

Glass rowing/mat filament composite lamination provide excellent chemical resistance coupled with high strength performance. The glass laminate has a strength weight ratio of 3,00,000 compared with 2,30,000 for steel. Periodic painting is eliminated and the installation is easy. At low cost, the Santom gratings provide electrical and thermal, insulation. The gratings can also be made fire retardant

The flexural modulus of the reinforced plastic bars is less than that of equivalent size metal bars, which means that although Santom gratings support heavy loads, the deflection of the gratings to the load will be more comparable to metal gratings. This gives the added advantage of visual determination of overload before failure loads are reached.

1. Square Mesh - 33 X 33 thickness - 40mm OR 23mm	2. Rectangular mesh - 93 X 23 mm thickness - 28 mm

Santom gratings can be manufactured to customer specification with builtin colours. Thickness and mesh size selected are based on load limit, deflection and support span. The Santom gratings can be cut to desired size using abrasive cutoff wheel or hacksaw.

APPLICATION

1. Enables design engineers to produce non corrosive FRP structural elements to meet load and span requirements.

2. Santom gratings are ideal for application in suspended floors, platforms, stairs, catwalks, covers, etc.
